Context

Sabai was designed as a next-generation smart cooking tool, leveraging AI to analyze user habits, suggest personalized meals, and make cooking stress-free.

Most recipe apps overwhelm users with an endless list of options without considering what they actually have at home or what they truly enjoy eating. Users needed a smarter, more intuitive way to find recipes that fit their lifestyle.

Methodology

Conducted user research to understand cooking pain points. Analyzed competitor apps to identify gaps in the market. Designed an AI-powered recommendation system using location, fridge inventory, and past user interactions.

Users struggled with meal planning and wanted quick, personalized suggestions. People often had ingredients at home but didn't know what to cook. AI-driven recommendations increased engagement, as users trusted smart suggestions over manual browsing.
